Ricochet Ltd – Channel 5 Cowboy Builders
The producer of Channel 5’s Cowboy Builders programme approached us to discuss a property that a local builder had left unfinished.
The roof had been finished but wasn’t the correct pitch and it didn’t comply with the local planning authority approval.
The whole of the lean to roof at the rear of the property had to be taken back off, including all roof tiles and the velux windows.
Once the whole roof was exposed we could start to redesign it, get the right trusses ordered to achieve the right pitch and plan the re-build.
Mansell Construction Services Ltd
This project was awarded to Mansell Construction services Ltd – A Balfour Beatty Company
After securing the contract, Mansell Construction Services Ltd approached us to complete the building and refurbishment works on number 2 St Peters rd
Handsworth and Aston are part of a large regeneration project which has already seen improved safety, environmental and social activities.
As part of this regeneration Midland Heart has brought to life a range of traditional Victorian homes, many of which for the first time in 20 years are being brought back into use as family homes. Our involvement in the project was to complete all carpentry works, structural works, ceramic floor and wall tiling, underground drainage, boundary walls and all landscaping.
Kuehne + Nagel Ltd
After a few initial visits with our architect to finalise the drawings and designs we had produced, we then went onto putting a full schedule of works together for the client.
To create the required canteen area we had to first fire proof the mezzanine floor by coating the existing steel with intumescent paint and double plaster boarding the complete underneath floor are to create the fire break and to comply with up-to-date fire regulations.
Once that was complete we starting forming the walls out of plasterboard and metal stud partitioning leaving spaces for the new aluminum fire rated windows and door frames to accommodate the factory finished FD3 doors. We then fitted a suspended ceiling, a hot and cold air conditioning system, along with a sink for staff washing facilities, and a new none-slip vinyl floor.
