Full Commercial Canteen & Washroom Refurbishment

Once we had completed the initial survey, we went to work on the best design suitable for the driver canteen and washroom which would not only be suitable for heavy traffic as this was a 24/7 operation but would also be in line with their budget and requirements.

Having agreed on the design layout and schedule for the proposed toilet, washroom, and canteen refurbishment we got to work!

Our work was as follows:

Disconnect make safe and strip out all existing toilets, toilet cubicles, existing kitchenette, shower room, wall coverings, suspended ceilings, and finally all vinyl floors.

Once all was stripped out and back to the shell, we completed all the first fix plumbing and electrical works which included new adequate ventilation, PIR switches in the canteen area, the washroom and the shower room.

As we had to add a third toilet, we needed to excavate the ground locate and expose the existing drainage ready for the local authority building inspector to inspect. Once the inspection we connected the soil and vent pipe which would accommodate not only the additional toilet but also the waste for the proposed new kitchenette sink, which was to be fitted to the new canteen dividing wall we built to accommodate a bigger washroom toilet area.

Once all the first fix plumbing and electrical works were complete and the building inspector had passed the drainage, we were then able to start fitting all the hygienic wall cladding which was thermoformed to all internal and external corners and then welded at the joints for maximum hygiene and easy clean.

The suspended ceiling was then fitted using a wipeable 600mm x 600mm ceiling tiles which were also fd30 compliant.

The next step was to fit the poly safe none slip vinyl floor including a cap and cove vinyl skirting board, then the new kitchen went in, the stainless-steel wash trough with auto stop taps, the infrared toilet urinal was fitted, the shower room was formed the new shower tray went in along with a new shower. Two shower-glazed doors were fitted and covered with privacy film to create a private shower and changing room area.

All the new toilet pans were fitted including the additional toilet then the colour branded cubicles were installed.

A full builders clean was completed and the project was successfully signed off, another happy customer!
