Refurbishment of Commercial Kitchen and Other Areas on Site
After Being asked to tender for the refurbishment works we visited the site to discuss the clients requirements and to survey the site following several meetings we submitted the quotation along with a programme of works and a full services drawing.
Once the client had notified us we had been awarded the contract, we were then called back to site for a pre-start site meeting to discuss how we would be going about completing the project and the production safety issues involved.
Firstly we set the site office up and then fitted the water feeds, wastes and electrical cabling for the temporary kitchen which would be supplying the home with all meals whilst the kitchen was being refurbished over the next eight weeks.
Once the temporary kitchen was set up and running and all training was completed we could then disconnect the existing appliances and safely remove including all electrical fixtures and fittings.
After all first fix electrical, gas and water feeds were completed we then could prepare the wall ready to take the new troyex hygienic wall cladding.
The existing vinyl floor was lifted and removed and latexed ready to take the new none slip polysafe vinyl floor including cap cove skirting boards.
Once the troyxe cladding was fitted we then fitted the cooker canopy and new suspended ceiling, including the new ceiling lights.
The new vinyl floor was fitted and protected with corrugated impact protection sheets so the new commercial kitchen could be fitted without damaging the new vinyl floor.
After the new commercial kitchen was fitted and commissioned a builders clean was completed, the chef and kitchen staff were then trained on the use of the appliances.
Once the project was completed the O&M file was compiled and submitted to the client.
We also completed six bedrooms and three wet room refurbishments whilst on site.
